5 Days of Tara Mantra Online

Monday thru Friday (Sept 7th through 11th) from 10 to 11 am

Live through Zoom or recorded sessions (you choose!)

Tara is an important and well-known goddess in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. She is known as the "Great Mother" or "Mother of Liberation" as she is a female bodhisattva who has vowed to be of worldly assistance until all sentient beings have reached enlightenment. She is immensely compassionate and aids in peace, health and protection. Mantra means "mind protector". Chanting a mantra stills the thoughts waves of the mind and shifts our focus to the benefits of sacred sound. By chanting Tara mantra and inviting her into our Hearts, we begin to cultivate a deep connection with Tara and all that she represents. Join Guest Instructor, Shakti River for 5 days of Tara mantra. Learn more about Tara and how to harmonize with her energy every day. Each day will include a brief introductory talk, 30 minutes of Tara mantra and time for feedback and questions. $25 for the series (just $5 a day!)

Series will be offered via Zoom. A link will be sent via email 20 to 30 min before class (check Spam folders just in case). Pre-registration required.

BIO:

A student of yoga for over 20 years and teacher for over 15 years, Shakti River was introduced to the practice of ShambhavAnanda Yoga™ in 2007 at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat (www.shoshoni.org). Finding a deep connection with the practices of mantra repetition as a technique of meditation, Shakti finds Tara mantra particularly useful as the same ten syllables can be utilized to call on the fierce protection or loving compassion aspects of Tara as each day necessitates. Shakti is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and a Yoga, Pilates and Meditation Instructor (E-RYT 500, NCPT) who runs ShamhavAnanda Yoga™ Teacher Trainings (RYS 200/300) at "The Complex" in Huntsville, Alabama.
